Sandra is my own project. It allows to rendering animations, with objects which are changing in time. Provides it linear system, that uses a key-values (in specific time). Between key points, values are soft changing.
A output of the program can be saved to video or image file. I use OpenCL for that.
In the program are many modules. Every module is described by formula and floating parameters. Its easy to add a new module, so I make a simple gallery which you can see below.

It is the most popular of fractals. It was discovered in 1979 by Benoît Mandelbrot. Very important feature of fractals is their self-similarity.
There are various ways to colourize the Mandelbrot Set. Above you can see a linear colouring, which assigned to every iteration of algorithm a next colour from the palette. In that animation, on each further frame, the number of iterations is greater, so there is a specific blast.
If you colourize the set with some logarithmic method there will be no edges. Just soft changes of colour of the palette.
Moreover you can use some trigonometric functions(like sinus) to make the colour of palette will be cyclic.
It is really simple parametric object. It is created by transforming the circle equation. There is add a some parameters into the sin and cos function.
If you make that parameters will be changing in time, you can see a pretty nice animation.
Likewise how from circles, you can make it from spirals. Just simply increase a radius of circle in time.
As I wrote before, there is really many ways to colourize the Mandelbrot Set.
This one is called “Buddhabrot” because image resembles a praying Buddha.
Golden spirals in Sunflower
This is my one of favourite. I’ve created it for a mathematics competition, where I’ve gotten a 3dr place.
Completely amazing objects. Do you remember how the Lissajous Curve is formed? To make attractors, you just calculating a new point not from the radius, but a previous point.
There are one of example of Butterfly Effect. A simple change of parameters can dramatically change the view of the projection. It was funny to compositing configuration for that animations. There are practical random.
